The two IAS principals—Mike Ancell and Tim Wagner—have more than 40 years of combined experience in all facets of association management. We founded IAS in March 2000 and located our offices in Alexandria, Virginia, near many of our clients and close to the action in our nation’s capital but also in a quiet part of the richly historic town. We like the dichotomy. We are an aggressive, fully modern company with an intrinsic feel for associations and their inner workings, and we thrive in a fast paced, deadline-driven atmosphere. But, at the same time, we are capable of stepping back from a project, looking at the larger picture, listening to fresh ideas, considering different viewpoints, and thinking creatively.
IAS works with a variety of non-profit and private sector clients, including the Power & Communication Contractors Association, the Utilities Telecom Council, the American Wind Energy Association, Solar Energy Trade Shows, the Hearth, Patio, and Barbeque Association, the Outdoor Power Equipment Institute, the National Air Transportation Association, the Architectural Woodwork Institute, the National Society for Black Engineers, the American Gear Manufacturers Association, the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, the Tropical Forest Foundation, and the National Utility Contractors Association.
