The three IAS principals—Mike Ancell, Cheryl Stratos, and Tim Wagner—have more than 40 years of combined experience in all facets of association management.We founded IAS in March 2000 and located our offices in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia, near many of our clients and close to the action in our nation’s capital but also overlooking a scenic stretch of the Potomac River in a quiet part of the richly historic town. We like the dichotomy. We are an aggressive, fully modern company with an intrinsic feel for associations and their inner workings, and we thrive in a fastpaced, deadline-driven atmosphere. But at the same time,we are capable of stepping back from a project, looking at the larger picture, listening to fresh ideas, considering different viewpoints, and thinking creatively.
